Weekly Updates for SHS Students/Families

The Week Ahead

We will be finishing MAP Testing this week for 9th, 10th, and 11th graders. On Monday, we will start our day in Advisory for the first 2 hours of the day.

Tuesday: Underclassmen Pictures

9:00 AM to 10:25 AM- 2nd floor (English/language wing first, history hall second, math hall third)

10:30-11:20- 3rd floor and outdoor buildings

1:20-3:00- freshmen (1st floor)

Thursday: All MAP Assessments must be completed

Friday: No School for Students - Teacher Workday

Aug 31st - 2 hr Delay Schedule. First 2 hours in Advisory for MAP; Home Soccer & Tennis

Sept 1st - Underclassmen and Staff Pictures; Student Government Nomination Forms Due

Sept 2nd - Home Soccer & Tennis

Sept 3rd - Both MAP Assessments must be complete; Home JV Football & Volleyball

Sept 4th -No School - Optional Teacher Workday

Need to see your Counselor?

Click this link or scan the QR code, which will be available in ALL classrooms. You no longer need to go, nor will you be allowed, to see if your counselor is free. Once you request a counselor, a meeting will be scheduled, and your counselor will call you when they are available to meet with you!

Senior Portraits

Senior Road Show will be here on October 28th, 2026, from 9:30 AM until 6:00 PM in the auditorium.

Students will need to sign up for their senior photos through CADY.

Student Government Nominations!

Student Government nomination forms are available outside of room 210.

All completed nomination forms are due by Tuesday, September 1st at 3:30 pm.

🚗 DRIVER’S EDUCATION – IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT! 🚗

Students, our first Virtual Driver’s Education class for the school year will be held:

📅 September 21st – October 2nd

💻 Virtual Class

⏰ The last day to register is September 12th!

Please make sure you complete your registration online before the deadline.

📌 Important: We will also offer TWO on-campus/in-person Driver’s Ed classes during the school year. Be sure to check the attached flyer for the complete schedule, including all virtual and in-person class dates.

💰 Course Fee: $65
